Introducing Facebook Lead Ads Integration

Last month, Facebook released its most recent marketing tool, “Lead Ads”. Basically, Facebook Lead Ads allows any advertiser to generate leads over their Facebook advertisement campaigns. Today, leads are crucial about the future of your business. The number of quality leads you have in your database define the success rate of your business. Generating high quality leads for your business is expensive. Reaching the right buyer pesona, getting their attraction and encouraging them to share their contact information with you is difficult and expensive.

But Facebook Lead Ads comes into the play at this point. The lead acquisition costs are cheaper compared to other marketing channels. And most importantly, the lead data you collect is 99% accurate.

If you have run Facebook advertisement in the past, you will be familiar to creating a Lead Ad on Facebook. Before you begin, make sure that you have the following information/assets:

  1. Access to your Facebook page and ad account
  2. The URL to your business’s privacy policy
  3. An image for your ad

When you are ready, open “Power Editor” on your Facebook Ad account. Then follow these steps to setup your Facebook Lead Ads campaign:

  1. Click “Create Campaign” button and then give it a name. Under the objective, choose “Lead Generation” and make sure that “Buying Type” is “Auction”.

  2. Click the “Create” button.
  3. Inside the lead ad campaign you have just created, click “Create Ad Set” button

  4. Enter the name for your new ad set and click the “Create” button

  5. Once the ad set is created, Facebook will show you a section on the right side of your screen asking for more details about the adset including the budget, schedule, target audience, placement and optimization. The most important info on this step is to select the target page you will be binding the advertisement:

  6. Once you are done with your ad set settings, enter to the ad set by clicking to the name of it.
  7. Now it’s time to create your ad set. Inside your ad set, click “Create Ad” button:
  8. Name your ad
  9. On the next step, setup your ad creative and tracking.
  10. Under “Lead Generation”, click “Create New form” button:

  11. Once you click the “Create New Form” button, Facebook will open a pop-up and ask you what information you would like to collect from Facebook users. Name, email, and many other options are available. You can also create custom questions.
  12. When you are finished setting up your questions, click “Create Form”.
  13. As a final step, click “Upload Changes” on the Power Editor (top right corner)

Congratulations! You setup your first lead ad campaign on Facebook. Now, whenever a Facebook user clicks the call-to-action button on your ad, Facebook will display a pre-filled form and collect the information you have asked:

Integrating Facebook Lead Ads with Sendloop

After logging to your Sendloop account (if you don’t have an account yet, sign up here for free), click “Facebook Marketer” link on the welcome page:

On the Facebook Marketer main page, you will see the authorization box on the right side. Click “Login With Facebook” button:

Once you click the “Login With Facebook” button, you will be redirected to Facebook for authorizing Sendloop to access your Facebook ad account. After the authorization process is completed, you will be redirected back to the Facebook Marketer main page. If you have multiple Facebook ad accounts, you will see them listed on the right side. You can switch between your Facebook ad accounts from the list.

To see the list of lead forms you have created on Facebook, click “Lead Forms” tab. You will see all lead forms and their CSV download links.

To see the list of ad campaigns you have, click “Ad Campaigns” tab. You will see the campaigns, their conversions, etc.

Because Sendloop is linked to your Facebook ad accounts, any leads will be added to your Sendloop subscriber lists automatically. Then you can start planning your email marketing strategy for new leads coming through Facebook lead ads.
